This project involved working as a subcontractor for an architect to renovate an existing legacy building located on a hill in Laboule, Haiti. The client’s goal was to give the building a more contemporary look while preserving its original charm. We have to add a deck to the building and designed a parking area underneath it. An office was also incorporated into the building’s design. A removable fabric cover was installed to provide additional protection from the elements. To update the building’s exterior, the dome roof was covered with a more modern roof. This project required a thoughtful and collaborative approach to achieve a successful balance between the traditional and contemporary design elements.

The porch is a stunning example of poetic architecture, merging black metal and wood to create a sleek and modern design. The one slope roof that covers the dome adds a touch of elegance to the space, while the louvers in the front allow the roof to breathe and create a comfortable atmosphere. The circular stairway has been replaced with a contemporary concrete staircase, adorned with plants that add a touch of nature to the space. The circular columns have been encased, further emphasizing the modern and minimalist look. The result is a space that is both striking and functional, with every detail carefully crafted to create a seamless and harmonious design. The combination of sleek lines, natural elements, and modern materials creates a poetic and inspiring architectural experience.
